Student Credentials System New Contract Announced

EduCampus and Digitary are excited to announce that the framework agreement entered into in 2016 for the provision of an online ‘Student Credentials System’, has been extended for another three years, starting from 2021. Delivered through the Digitary CORE solution, institutions are enabled with a secure web-based solution for the issuance and verification of student credentials such as degree certificates, academic transcripts, European Diploma Supplements (EDS) and other official academic documents.

The solution allows for higher education learners (students and graduates) in Ireland to retain secure lifelong access to their certified and awarded qualifications, that empowers them to share with whomever they want, whenever they want, often for further study and employment applications.

Each year, thousands of learners are provided with their qualifications in Ireland, and in 2020 alone, almost 150,000 documents were certified and issued to learners by the participating institutions of the ‘Student Credentials System’ serviced through EduCampus and Digitary. Since 2016, the number of documents issued has been approximately 450,000, a significant impact on many learners lives.

Currently the following Higher Education institutions in Ireland are utilising Digitary CORE for the digital issuance of verified student credentials through the ‘Student Credentials System’ agreement: University of Limerick, Mary Immaculate College, Athlone Institute of Technology, Dundalk Institute of Technology, Galway May Institute of Technology, Institute of Technology Carlow, Institute of Technology Dún Laoghaire Inst. Art & Design, Institute of Technology Sligo, Munster Technological University (Tralee), Letterkenny Institute of Technology, Limerick Institute of Technology, Technological University Dublin (Blanchardstown), Technological University Dublin (Tallaght) and Waterford Institute of Technology.

The contract extension allows for other higher education institutions in Ireland to participate and utilise the solution and services provided through EduCampus and Digitary.
